We invite residents ages 18 and over to actively participate by applying for open positions on various Committees. These voluntary positions play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing our community. We are currently accepting applications for all three committees listed below until March 15, 2024. At that point, all applications will be reviewed and decisions will be made for appointments to each committee.
List of Committees:
Zoning Commission - Application
Board of Zoning Appeals - Application
Parks Advisory Committee - Application
Committee members for the Zoning Commission and Parks Advisory Committee make recommendations to the Board of Trustees. Note: The committees require only a minimal amount of time.
- Zoning Commission: Hear applications for land use and zoning classifications, recommend legislative actions, and review legislation, rules, and regulations.
- Board of Zoning Appeals: The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) hears and decides zoning variances (e.g., setback encroachment) and temporary use permits primarily (e.g., sales trailer). The Board is also responsible for the hearing and disposition of appeals from any order or decision made by a township officer enforcing the zoning ordinance.
-
Parks Advisory Committee: The development and care of Township parks is controlled by the Township Trustees. The Parks Advisory Committee in partnership with the Maintenance Director and Township Administrator makes recommendations for improvements.
